Interesting and quite hard to believe the % of ube production in Bohol! I'm from Bohol (since 2019) and yet I haven't heard YET of the legend. Thanks for sharing. :)

I had thought quite a large amount would come from Baguio, to be honest! From research articles I see floating around, a lot of ube/ubi research seems to be done in Bohol. The ubi festival also happens around February. Interestingly enough, most people I asked there said their ubi is kinampay (not sure if true or not). There is a fantastic cafe called Cresencia Café in Baclayon where they serve ubi biko made with the kinampay variety. Perhaps you can ask the owner more about the variety!

Hi! Yes, you're right about the kinampay and we've heard of the Ubi Festival and actually met one farmer who won the heaviest Ube in the recent years. We'll take note of the Cresencia Cafe. Thanks for all these info :)
